"My AC went out and my home warranty AHS denied my claim due to reason is electrical. The tech they sent diagnosed power surge caused damage to unit. Recommended $12K to replace. I called around and found several but they all charge service fee. Called A/C captain and then a technician Gerardo. He was very thorough in diagnosing the issue, explaining patiently and did some tests. He gave me two options: repair or replace but he didn't emphasize the replace option.
